Prerequisites to fit the MT/Sr. MT designation

• The aspirant should have undergone formal medical transcription training.
• Should have typing speed of at least 30- 40 words per minute.
• A minimum of one year of experience in the MT industry.
• We expect a minimum of 450 lines per day or 10,000 lines per month of quality transcription.

Prerequisites to fit the Proof reader/Quality Analysts designation

• The aspirant should have undergone formal medical transcription training.
• Should have typing speed of at least 45- 60 words per minute.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a proof reader or a minimum of 1-1/2 years as an independent MT ( capable of delivering above 98.5% accuracy on any given set of dictators ).
• We expect a minimum of 900 proof read lines per day or 22,500 proof read lines per month.
• The monthly average accuracy should be equal to or above 98.5%.

Prerequisites for Homebased opportunities:

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience and capable of delivering direct upload files over a period of time.
• Dedicated Computer system with a minimum configuration of Pentium processor, 256MB Memory, 40 GB Hard Disk, Duplex sound card, Head phone, Foot pedal , Network Interface card, 800X600 or 1024X768 resolution monitor.
• More importantly a robust (256kbps) Internet connectivity.

FAQs (Frequently asked questions)

1. What will the test consist of?

The duration of the test would be approximately 2 hours. It consists of transcribing and proof reading of files (approx.: 10 min of dictation), a LOM paper, and English essay writing.

2. What extent of my work can I send for proofing?

You can send upto 10% (Max.) of your jobs for proofing, doubts, blanks, clarifications, etc.

3. What is the accuracy expected from me?

Since your work would be directly uploaded to the client, you are expected to deliver a minimum accuracy of 98.5%.

4. Should I execute a minimum line count everyday?

Yes, we expect a commitment of a minimum of 500 lines per day. The line commitment can be discussed, formulated, and adhered to once you begin working with us

5. Will there be any tax deduction on my payments?

Yes, As per the rule of the land, there will be a deduction of 5.10% (TDS) of the amount payable. However, one can file the annual tax returns after receipt of TDS Certificate from Aiplex. One can claim the tax from the government quoting the income/expenses, etc. Please consult your chartered accountant/tax planner for further clarification.

6. Do you have any preferred time slots of working?

Yes. The preferred time slots are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

7. Will I need to have all the reference materials/CDs?

Not Exactly, the company can extend the support to provide the reference materials & also format your System to make it MT compatible at the cost of Rs. 500.

8. What are the payment terms?

The Payment for the ‘required performance’ shall be as specified below.

DUP (direct upload privilege)

A min. of 10% of the files would be Audited & deductions would be truly based on the QA report. You will also find suggestions for those areas which call for improvement.
You will receive the Invoice on 12th of every month & expect u to confirm before 14th of the same month & the payment would be credited on 15th via direct transfer to your account of ICICI or by cheque to the account you bank with.

Do I need to pay any security deposit before starting work?
No.

Will I get to work on a single client/account?
We usually try to keep you on a single account. However, client-specific instructions will be made available for ready reference along with samples for any client/account that is entrusted to you.

Aiplex believes that all patient & client information is of prime importance. All patient & client transcription-related data is secured in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

HIPAA compliance procedures at Aiplex:

Every employee is made aware of the importance of security & confidentiality of patient/client sensitive information & has signed an agreement for non-disclosure.

All relevant data are password protected & made available only to the concerned with access authorization. Certain amount of data is available only for referencing without delete & copying option.

Any patient/client-related data storage or transformation is done using a minimum of 128-bit encryption.

We work on softcopies & hence prevent the usage of hard copy which seamlessly contributes to a paperless office. This prevents the leakage of data & also helps our ecosystem.

Technical evaluations are performed on a routine basis to make sure all system input devices like USB port, floppy drive & CD-Rom are disabled. Internet access is provided only to medical related sites thus avoiding access to personal emails like yahoo, hotmail & G-mail.

All the workstation machines/servers are totally protected with anti-virus, anti-malware, anti spyware, IDS & robust PIX firewalls.
